Jill Moore, Barre Fitness Instructor, ACE Certified Professional
Group fitness brings together three things Jill Moore loves: teaching, people and movement. She had her first experience instructing group fitness more than 15 years ago when she taught water aerobics at the Boys & Girls Club of Nacogdoches, and she was hooked. In 2018, Jill obtained her group fitness certification through ACE Fitness and began teaching Barre Flow, a combination of yoga, Pilates, and dance, at the Nacogdoches Parks and Recreation Center. She fell in love once again with instructing and getting people to feel better as they learn to move better.
Jill’s journey has led to some unexpected but unique experiences including working with the pitchers of the SFA Baseball Team. In 2019, she attended an institute to learn more about teaching kids’ yoga, and she wholeheartedly believes in equipping youth with the many benefits of this ancient practice.
Jill considers herself to be a lifelong learner of any modality that incorporates balance, flexibility and strength. Some of her personal fitness background includes endurance training, triathlons, CrossFit, and she loves practicing handstands!
Jill lives in Cushing with her husband, Luke, and three children Hank, Halle, and Hollis. After 12 years of teaching fourth grade, she currently teaches English at Cushing High School. Jill appreciates the continuing opportunity to serve all ages of her Nacogdoches and East Texas communities through movement in the positive, noncompetitive Whole Again Counseling + Wellness atmosphere.
