Valerie Simpson, Licensed Massage Therapist
At 20 years old Valerie Simpson was in a car accident that left her with severe whiplash. While under the treatment of a chiropractor she was given her first professional massage. At that moment, she knew she wanted to become a massage therapist. After graduating from The Cypress Health Institute in Santa Cruz, California, she began her journey working with the same chiropractor who treated her. After many years working under various chiropractors, she gained a solid understanding of spinal injuries and how to treat them.
In 1994, Valerie went on vacation to Baja Mexico and loved it so much she decided to move there! She practiced massage at 5-star hotels for many years. During that time, she decided to go back to school and graduated from the International Professional School of Bodywork in San Diego, California. A few years later, she met the love of her life and got married. Together they developed a solar community with custom homes, on a remote beach where she continued to practice massage in boutique hotels. She and her husband relocated to Nacogdoches in 2014 after her husband accepted a job here.
Valerie believes in the body’s ability to heal itself and utilizes her expertise in this process. She is a psychologically sensitive bodyworker, who can assist by listening to the body and inspiring thoughtful communication. She has a heartfelt approach to help her clients reach their specific goals. Her work is deeply therapeutic and extremely relaxing.
Valerie has more than 30 years of experience. She uses techniques she has learned over the years to create a custom massage for each individual. These techniques include circulatory massage applications, passive joint movement, myofascial release techniques, deep tissue sculpting, cranial sacral therapy and reflexology.

The Purpose of Life is to give it away.”
